How To Connecting Laptop To TV - Sound Output

I can connect my laptop VGA to VGA since both my laptop and TV have VGA connectors. But when I do this the sound comes out of the laptop,

when I would like it to come out of the TV. Is there some sort of cable I could buy or maybe some settings I could change to make this work?

My TV has component, RGB and HDMI connections but my laptop doesn't have HDMI port.

or just get a headphone to dual RCA cable minus the S-video
VGA is a better connection than S-video

if your tv is anything like mine it should have a 3.5mm headphone jack near the vga connector (same type of port you plug headphones into on an ipod or your laptop)
then all you need is a 3.5mm male-male cable to connect the audio out (headphone) jack on your laptop to the port on the tv

Fire in your cable (obv) and put ur tv to the correct AV channel. Go into control panel and then into the display tab. Depending on ur laptops graphics card there should be some sort of multiple monitor support function in there, good luck dude. Out of interest is your TV LCD or just a normal one?
