How To Change IP Address

You cant 'change' your ip address unless you call your isp and request a new one. With internet, you either have a static Ip address or a dynamic ip address.

Static IP address = An IP address that does not change
Dynamic IP address = An IP address that changes when the router is reset

If you know which one you have, it makes it a lot easier in deciding what you can do. If you have a static ip address, you cant do much to bypass RS waiting times...you can however use RS Link Generators. Search 'link heaven' here and you will find some that should work.

If you know that you have a dynamic ip address, you can download one file, turn off your router, turn it back on again after about 10 seconds and you theoretically should be able to download again because you should have a new ip address.

Alternatively, you can use software that uses proxies which 'mask' your ip address to tracking sites and peers. This however doesn't really work with RS because a lot of proxies are used by other people and if they have RS downloading habits, you could find yourself waiting even longer to download a file from RS.

Just disconnect your modem and connect it again.. You'll waste like 2 minutes, but you'll get new IP address..

open command prompt, type in "ipconfig/release" that disconnects you from the network, then "ipconfig/renew"which renews your ip.
