How To Enable Missing Foder Option

Many times we find that the folder options missing in windows explorer. Here is simple trick to enable folder options.


1. Go to Start > Run

2. Then type "gpedit.msc". Click Ok.

3. Then Group policy window will open. Then go to

User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer as shown in below picture start 1 to 5.

4. Click on Windows Explorer you will find the 3rd option on the right side of screen
"Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu"

5. If it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.

What you do when you are not able to format your Kingston Pendrive or other pen drives or it shows "The disk is write protected" error? Try this simple trick to format your Pendrive.


1.Check out if the USB drive has a small swich for write protection. If its there try toggling the switch.

2. Windows can all write protect flash drives. Check out this registry path,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.

You may find a key here on the right side by the name 'WriteProtect'. If it's not there this would not be the cause of problem. If it's there, make sure that the value is 0.

It is very good. You may have to use it 2-3 times. Each time safely remove pen drive. Again start utility exe file.
