- Open a Command Prompt window.
To do so you can click the start button (or click the windows button in your keyboard) and typing "cmd" in the search box.
- Type the following command:
REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /
- Open notepad.
To do so you can click the start button (or click the windows button in your keyboard) and typing "notepad" in the search box.
- Paste the following lines into it:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000001
- Save it as "reg-fix.reg" (with the quotation marks).
- Run the saved file (reg-fix.reg).
