Registry editing has been disabled by your admin ?

Try one of the following methods:

Method 1.

  1. Open a Command Prompt window.
    To do so you can click the start button (or click the windows button in your keyboard) and typing "cmd" in the search box.



  2. Type the following command:

    REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /
Method 2.
  1. Open notepad.
    To do so you can click the start button (or click the windows button in your keyboard) and typing "notepad" in the search box.
  2. Paste the following lines into it:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    "DisableRegistryTools"=dword:00000001

  3. Save it as "reg-fix.reg" (with the quotation marks).
  4. Run the saved file (reg-fix.reg).
