IIS Audit using VBScript

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have a script available that would audit IIS v6.0 ? I need to audit all the sites and return the web site name state of the web site i.e. running or stopped application pool(s) State of the app pool bindings

I suggest you use something like Splunk (http://www.splunk.com) which is free as long as you only index 500 MB or less a day or you could also use AWSTATS (http://www.awstats.org) which will not only give you the data but also give you nice graphs with stats which is nice for reporting.

With IIS6 you can get the AppPools with IISAPP.VBS, which comes with IIS6 when installed. The script should exist in the system32 directory.

Since there are a ton of IIS6 vbscripts that list sites and their associated info, I will just post a couple of links:

Note, that these Microsoft scripts are installed as part of the IIS6 install. Here is a list of utilities available with an IIS6 installation:

Thanks Dan, that's exactly what I needed.
