Windows 2008 TrustedInstaller issue, folder missing

Our main DC has been missing out on patches and recently saw there was an error with TrustedInstaller, error 2: Can't find file. I saw some articles about replacing the files (which might be corrupt) from another Win2008 R2 server). I was going to do that and then realized the entire c:windowsservicing folder does not exist on this server and that the error have been there for a while.

So, anyone tried to replace the whole folder with positive results to fix the issue. I understand it is only WindowsUpdate but still would prefer to correct. I was thinking of copying over and trying to duplicate the folder permissions, then reboot to get it to work but concerned since we only discovered AFTER we decommissioned our secondary DC. Thanks for any input.

Search the Windows folder for any copies of trustedinstaller.exe.
Create the windowsservicing folder and copy trustedinstaller.exe to is (use the newest copy found in the search)
Start the TrustedInstaller service and you should be good to go.

You really don't want the whole servicing folder as it may contain files you don't want or need.

Manually created folder and copied 4 root files from another server.

Still an issue with Server Manager (assume because whole servicing folder is gone. Have to work on that still. Thanks.
