Prevent Windows charm bar from appearing

How can I prevent the Windows charm bar from appearing?

While working within Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 the charm bar sometimes appears when I move the mouse all the way over to the far right hand corner of the screen.

This is very annoying since I then have to move the mouse away to make the charm bar go away.

I would like to just disable the charm bar from appearing all together.

How can that be done?

The start screen and charms bar were considered "fundamental" dsign decisions for that OS. They cannot be disabled.

I agree with Cliff. I train myself not to sweep that far right to activate the charm bar. I do this in Windows 8.1 and also in Server 2012. Just adjust your habits and leave be.

Personally, Microsoft doesn't dictate to me how I interface with the operating system and charms are gone in Windows 10 anyways. Good riddance.
