With drives connected simply go to Disk Management in control panel Computer management

You will see the drives listed and then you can change them to which ever letter you wish.

They will retain that letter so when you plug it in again it will have the same drive letter.

I am pretty sure you also need to plug the USB key into the same port on the computer. If you plug it into a different port, it will run through the install again and could change letters.

Also remember that the user may take the key to a different or possibly home computer (allowed or not) and the letters could get further screwed up.

I do not think you can control this centrally.

Hi,

In order for your drive to retain the same letter, follow
1. Start your computer normally, check the drive letter for iball in my computer, for the purpose of this, let say it's K:
2. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
3. Click the Device Manager tab, and then double-click the iball to expand it.
4. Click your iball, click Properties, and then click the Settings tab.
5. Click K in the Start drive letter box, and then click K in the End drive letter box.
6. Click OK, click Close, and then click Yes when you are prompted to restart your computer.
7. Repeat for the other drives

Regards

Just tested this

Have two different Pen Drives

Plugged into same usb port came up as F Drive changed the drive letter to O:
Then plugged in second pen drive it came up as F

Put first pen drive back in and it came up as O

So what ever drive letter you chose for that pen drive it will remain that for every time you plug it in to you computer usb port.
