please lock this computer, then unlock it using your most recent password or smart card
-
Have restarted computer. Checked account settings and Log on hours are good.
...

How can we fix this to not have error come up???
?

Thanks -

First, make sure that you're logging on to the domain, not the local computer.

Have you tried logging on with administrative credentials, and does the same message appear?

You probably have cached credentials on this machine.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows7/store-passwords-certificates-and-other-credentials-for-automatic-logon

Also, connect the machine to the domain and reset your password using ctrl+alt+del and change password.

If that does not work just change your password using ADUC.

Will.

You miss to put this question into a context - when does that happen?
It would for example happen, if you log into a notebook while connected to the domain, then hibernate the notebook, lock on from a different machine, change your domain password and afterwards wake the laptop. I hope you get the idea.

Restart the computer at end of day .. come in next morning .. log on with current password ..... then message pops up
..
?

So it does occur every time and you can reproduce it?
When you restarted the machine at the end of the day, you didn't log on then, right? You just left it at the logon prompt?
