RDP connection from Windows 7 to Server 2012 is slow

I have a Domain controller on windows 2012 one is virtual dc and another is Physical. I try to access server/computers on RDP its takes between one minute to 2 minutes.

For Server 2012 (it loads lots), 1 minute is normal. 2 minutes seems a little long.

How long does it take to get a login screen? This should take about 15 seconds with a local connection (Not VPN).

Once your login credentials have been accepted, how long to get to the Server Management screen? This should be about a minute in total from the beginning.

How long then, before you can use or cancel the Server Management screen?

Perhaps prevent the Server Management screen from starting. That will speed up the process.

If you ping a server by name, how long does it last until the ping starts to do something? => This shows if name resolutions introduces lags.
If name resolution works fine, RDP still has to negotiate certain security features before you see it doing something. If RDP has to try several methods (from more secure to less secure), the connect will need more time.

It is important to note that this local connection
And Ping takes less than 1
This does not happen only to RDP connection I trying to access OWA services takes between 2-4 minutes .

It may not be related to each other

You asked the question about RDP, so let us deal with this first and not confuse it with OWA.

Please answer my three questions. Your login time may be normal.

If it is normal, OWA may be authenticating as well.
