Windows 7 - Redirect Documents Folder Missing

Hello,
Group Policy redirects documents in from the Windows 2008 DC. The user share is located on another server (Windows 03). The user has Windows 7. The redirection documents folder is missing. When I open the Documents library it only shows the public documents folder. When I try to add a UNC path to the library it doesn't let because it is not indexed. I tried hotfixes (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2799904?wa=wsignin1.0), I checked the registry and personal path is pointing to the right path. I did a gpupdate. I checked the GP policy and it is fine. I also did a system restore, thinking maybe an update messed it up but to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction with this?

Thanks in advance!

What happens when you try to browse to the network location where the Documents folder is redirected? e.g. \Server2003UsersusernameDocuments ?

I can get there, open the directory, and makes changes to subfolders and files. Sorry, I forgot to mention I did check that he had full permissions to his usershare.

Can you see the GPO being applied to the machine?

Is this happening for one user on one machine, one user on multiple machines, multiple users on one machine or multiple users on multiple machines?

Sorry, just to be clear here: is the problem just the fact that the user's My Documents isn't visible under the library in the navigation pane in Windows Explorer? If this is the case, check to see if My Documents has been hidden in GPO or the registry: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc978354.aspx

Are you seeing any errors in the event logs when the user logs into the machine?

Hi, thanks for your response. The issue was resolved when I deleted the desktop.ini file in the My Documents folder.

Here is the link.
