Changing KMS Host Key

I have an existing KMS host, working just fine. I want to add an upgraded KMS host key so this host can activate windows 8, 8.1 and server 2012. The KMS host is running Server 2008 R2. I have installed the required updates that allow Server 2008 based KMS hosts to activate 8.1 clients along with server 2012 clients.

My question is this: When I add the new key using slmgr /ipk will that cause my clients to go into the black screen mode that says windows is not genuine when they check in every 7 days, while the KMS host waits for the minimum 25 activation attempts?

No, the "grace" period is about 180 days from their last activation. As long as your KMS starts activating > 25 clients within this time period, you will be OK.

Thank you, that is what I thought. Just had to be sure :)

Thanks
