Any idea what the value is to allow a NON Admin user to install software?
You cannot make any user admin only with registry entries
user SID must need to be member of local administrators group so that it can install apps etc
In earlier comment I told you that you can add user in local administrators group if wanted to.
There is no such value.
The only in-built concept there is, is publishing MSI packages to users so that they can use the application wizard to install on demand, regardless of admin group membership.
As pointed out above deploy Software GPO
You would require admin rights on machine to install software
What about adding a user to an admin group
U can do that with pleasure
But it will grant user full control of entire workstation in addition to application installation
