HP Offcejet 4500

My Officejet 4500 will not show up on network to add as wireless printer.Install proper drivers, Network discovery is active, but windows 8 cannot find printer. worked on windows 7.

So the printer is wireless for sure? I recall it is.

Download the Windows 8.1 driver:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-4500-All-in-One-Printer-Series---G5/3919445/model/3986394

Then install it and point it at the printer (use the Printer IP address).

Make sure the HP4500 has a static IP address.

There is not enough info to assist. Are you talking about both system being on the same wifi network? When adding the printer searching the network it is not reflected as available? If you know the printers IP and point to it, what happens?

Check which version of the 4500 you have see if HP has an upgrade of firmware that might help resolve your issue.
