System Reserved is at o free space on Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-v VM

System Reserved is at o free space on Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-v VM. Is this a problem? Should it be addressed?

With "System Reserved", do you mean the small boot partition Windows creates when it is setup? If so, it can be a problem if it is full, as updates can fail. Temporarily add a drive-letter to the partition, then run the cleanup wizard on that partition. If the cleanup wizard isn't installed, do that by adding the Desktop experience feature.

installed and ran disk cleanup. All it found was a recycle bin with nothing in it. It is still at 0 free space. What next?

You may also need this patch and then run the wizard again. It adds a windows-update cleanup option to the wizard which isn't there by default.

there was no link to a patch attached

Sorry, forgot to post it:
